Since 1996, Dynaplak Adhesive and Starches BV in Veendam (founded by brothers Koos and Erik Slor) has been producing natural raw materials and polymers for industrial applications. These include natural adhesives and coatings. It was a pioneering effort for years. But when the sustainability theme became a hot topic, the business community embraced it en masse, and Dynaplak emerged as a leader in inventing biodegradable or recyclable materials. This presents opportunities for the region.
