Work experience
After my studies (chemistry, teaching qualification, and interpreter/translator) in Hungary, I conducted PhD research at the UvA and worked as a postdoc in the US. Upon my return, I was active as a project leader and manager at applied scientific organizations (Energy Research Centre Netherlands, TNO). Subsequently, I worked at the University of Twente on lab-on-a-chip developments, education, and as a co-author/editor of a handbook. During that period, I served as chair of the Analytical Chemistry Section of the KNCV and was a member of the editorial board of C2W.
10 years ago, I started working for Shell in various roles ranging from R&D (biofuels), strategy, and line management. I have just returned from India, where I led a team in our newest research center for three years. At Shell, I organized mentoring programs for groups and also regularly mentored individual colleagues.
