Charl van Ruijven

After completing my Bachelor's degree in Analytical Chemistry, I started working as a Chemical Analyst in the laboratory. I gained experience at SGS and Shell, where I held analytical chemistry positions and focused on, among other things, method development, quality control activities, and laboratory projects.

My next career step was a job as a Chemistry Recruiter at CheckMark Labrecruitment. In this role, I was responsible for connecting job seekers with clients, ensuring thorough guidance during the application process and the start of a new job. During this time, I had intensive contact with various laboratories within the (petro)chemical, food, pharmaceutical, and environmental sectors, which gave me significant insight into the laboratory industry.

After 3.5 years in recruitment for laboratory professionals, my current position came my way. Since January 2015, I have been working as Head of Laboratory at Kolb Nederland, a producer of non-ionic surfactants based in Moerdijk.

Due to the diversity of my work experience, I am able to look at things from different perspectives. I enjoy using my acquired knowledge and experience to help others advance in their careers.

Besides my work, I enjoy a game of tennis, love winter sports, and regularly put on my work clothes.
